Pursuant to Art. 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free flow of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation), I inform that:

  1. The administrator of your personal data is the Military University of Technology with its registered office in Warsaw (code: 00-908) at Gen. Sylwestra Kaliskiego 2;
  2. The data administrator has appointed a data protection officer supervising the correctness of personal data processing, who can be contacted via the e-mail address: iod@wat.edu.pl;
  3. Your personal data will be processed for the purpose of conducting the educational activities of the university, in particular:
  • implementation of the education process,
  • records
  • keeping documentation of the course of teaching,
  • for the purposes of: reporting, possible pursuit of legal claims, archiving, organization of events,
  • conducting exams and other assessments,
  • using video monitoring under the conditions necessary to fulfil legally defined tasks for the public good.
  • In addition, your personal data will be processed for marketing purposes if you give the consent attached to the clause.
  1. The data provided will be processed pursuant to Art. 6 section 1 letter c Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 and the Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws of 2018, item 1668, as amended), and in the case of processing for marketing purposes pursuant to Art. 6 section 1 letter a, i.e. consent.
  2. Providing data for the purpose of conducting educational activities of the university is voluntary, but necessary to achieve the purposes for which it was collected. The consequence of not providing data is that it will be impossible to undertake and implement the educational process.
  3. If your personal data will be processed for the purpose of conducting marketing activities, consent to the processing of this data will be necessary. This consent is voluntary and marketing activities will take place subject to consent. Failure to consent does not result in any consequences for you, in particular it does not affect the initiation and implementation of the educational process.
  4. Personal data will not be made available to other recipients, except for cases provided for by law or on the basis of an agreement entrusting the processing of personal data.
  5. The data will be stored for the period necessary to achieve the above-mentioned purposes or until consent is withdrawn, and personal data contained in the student’s personal file will be stored for a period of 50 years.
  6. You have the right to access your data and, subject to legal provisions: the right to rectify, delete, limit the processing, the right to transfer data, the right to object, the right to withdraw consent at any time without affecting legality of the processing that was carried out on the basis of consent before its withdrawal;
  7. You have the right to lodge a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office;
  8. Your data will not be processed in an automated manner and will not be subject to profiling.
